  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp hot water

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. Beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Stir in vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk to the butter mixture.
  4. Mix cocoa powder with hot water; stir into about one cup of batter for chocolate mixture.
  5. Pour half of the vanilla batter into the bundt pan, followed by spoonfuls of chocolate batter, then the remaining vanilla batter.
  6. Swirl batters gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
